Guts - Part 2

- So hear me out. 'Cause this is what i have to say about guts.

  • Guts is to be able to face your fears.
  • Guts is when you can fight your own fears.
  • Guts is when you come out of this process stronger, better.
  • Guts is being able to face your worst enemy: yourself.
  • Guts is when you don't have to put up a mask and act strong to the people around you.
  • Guts is when you can be your very own self to the people that respect you.
  • Guts is when you do cry and not feel embarassed or ashamed.
  • Guts is when you can talk about your true feelings to the the one that matters.
  • Guts is to be able to be strong, amidst the surrounding chaos.
  • Guts is being polite when you least want it or feel like it.
  • Guts is believing in yourself, but not being cocksure about it.
  • Guts is being able to laugh at yourself and not take yourself too seriously.
  • Guts is when you can dream and pursue your dream.
  • Guts is being able to resist the darkness that at times surrounds us.
  • Guts is when you can see the light amidst all the fog and thunderstorm.
  • Guts is being able to stand again, each time you fall.
  • Guts has nothing to do with being able to withstand physical pain. This is easy. And you didn't even have the power to do that. You crumbled down, oh so easily. It's the resistance to psychological pain that shows whether you have guts or not.
  • And most certainly, guts has nothing to do with enduring a simple process, especially one that's undertaken by millions of people around the world each bloody day: it's called Life.
- So don't talk to me about guts. You don't even have the guts to do just that: talk to me.

Guts

- Funny you should mention that!
- Why?
- Why?! I'll tell you "why"! Grab your coffee and come with me to the verandah. It's a nice morning. We'll have a talk and I'll tell you about "guts"...
